1. Agreement

By downloading Clever Cook, creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using getclevercook.com, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Clever Cook provides tools for recipes, meal planning, grocery lists, food logging, Smart Shop store finding, optional HealthKit step display for badges/progress, and related features on iPhone. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us promptly of unauthorised use. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the service.

4. Your content and shared links

You retain ownership of recipes, photos, and other content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the service — including when you create a share link or (where enabled) a public profile. Do not upload content you do not have rights to share, and do not upload unlawful or abusive material. Anyone with an unlisted share link can view that content.

5. Acceptable use

• No unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity
• No attempts to disrupt, scrape, or reverse engineer the service beyond what applicable law permits
• No impersonation or misleading claims about Clever Cook
• No uploading of malware or infringing material

6. Health, nutrition, and AI disclaimer

Clever Cook is for informational and organisational purposes only. Nutrition estimates, calorie/macro targets, AI meal scans, recipe imports, and meal suggestions may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are assistance tools, not medical devices and not a diagnosis. The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and is not a substitute for professional medical or dietary advice. Always use your own judgment and consult a qualified professional for health decisions.

7. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Paid features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of any applicable introductory offer. Clever Cook does not sell subscriptions through the website or other external payment methods.

• Monthly — Product ID com.clevercook.app.monthly. Renews each month until cancelled. No free trial.
• Yearly — Product ID com.clevercook.app.yearly. Eligible new subscribers may receive a 3-day free introductory offer determined by Apple, then renew annually until cancelled. If you are not eligible, the yearly price applies without a free trial.
• Pricing — UK examples: £4.99/month and £24.99/year. App Store pricing may vary by country or region. The price shown in the app before purchase is authoritative.
• Renewal — subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Management & cancellation — manage or cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or via the in-app Manage Subscription link. Deleting your Clever Cook account does not cancel Apple billing.
• Restore — use Restore Purchases in the app (paywall or Profile) if you reinstall or change devices.
• Refunds — refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies (reportaproblem.apple.com).

8. Account deletion vs subscription cancellation

Account deletion (Profile → Delete Account) removes your Clever Cook account and associated app data. Subscription cancellation stops future Apple charges but does not by itself delete your account. Perform both if you want to leave fully and stop billing.

9. Intellectual property

Clever Cook branding, design, software, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them except as allowed by these Terms or applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clever Cook and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

12. Termination

You may stop using Clever Cook at any time and may delete your account in the app. We may terminate or restrict access if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by nature should survive will survive termination.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
